Neon. That’s one word we’d use to describe the latest covers for Jesse Andrews’s books.
Our creative director, Chad Beckerman, sums them up perfectly: “Strong bold color, simple and evocative (and funny!) graphics, and adult appeal for [Jesse’s] crossover audience.”
We loved the revised, yellow/green cover of Me and Earl and the Dying Girl that came out in 2015.
Then there was the fun and and edgy cover for the hardcover of Jesse’s hilarious road trip adventure, The Haters, last spring.
Throw a new cover for the paperback version (available April 4) and we think Chad and illustrator Will Staehle have really outdone themselves.
Neon orange and yellow? Yes, please. The same loveable graphics found on Me and Earl? Of course! Long story short, the growing Jesse Andrews section of our bookshelf is bright—and we can’t stop looking at it.
It’s true that both Haters covers are different. So we’re interested to see which one you prefer. Cast your vote below!
